A poem for Holy Saint Augustine.
“A tribute to St. Augustine”

Sinful man, he was, before his conversion
Astucious seeker of truth
Image of a repentant sinner and a good Christian
Notorious for the things he had done good and bad
Taught us a lot with his maxim “One mind and One heart intent upon God”

Almost his life was restless searching for the truth
Uniting all things he had gone through bear a wonderful fruit
Giving us an idea that “Restless is our hearts until it rest in God”
Uniting us to make a community and serve the triune GOD
Service is our duty to the Catholic Church
This will serve as the fire that would give light to our torch
Illuminates our blind eyes as we journey together toward GOD
Nothing is us, apart from God who is present in our hearts
Exult at his coming and witness our lives most blissful part
