A poem depicting the author as a moth and temptation as the flame.
I can see you dancing
Light cast to the shadows
You give no care to who is watching

Though your body matches not the music
You continue to dance as though I am not watching
You care not what is happening in my mind
You cannot, will not, do not.

Closer I float
As if on the breeze
Caught in the summery, shimmery, light
And feel your desire, your need
Your ever watching eyes

I know you will be the end of me
Yet I care not
I cannot, will not, do not.
I float closer as you hiss, and roar
In dismay? I cannot care.

Skin burning,
Wings melting
I am as a sheet of paper burning on the acid air
I loved you so
But now I cannot escape
Cannot, will not
Do not.
