A meditation on the day...
I went outside today
and saw the bare trees scrape the sky
waiting for their new garments to arrive
seeming to hang on the wind,
their very stillness creating a thought
that we have just the day,
the moment, bright, in our grasp,
to touch and create the life we have
into something like music.
I saw no one yet never lonely
looking up at the cloudless blue
hearing the peeping birds
and I ran a bit,
testing my own stubby wings.
I can fly--if only a little.

You can, too.
