Poem dedicated to a very close friend killed in a biking accident.
In dedication

All I Can Express

It’s time to rejoice
Even though you want to mourn
It’s time to live
Even though you feel torn
Torn apart from your other half
The part of your soul
Who helped you think, cry, and laugh
The one who made you whole
All the emotions, which are still not yet known
The ones you recognize that you still can’t control
Tear at your heart
And all you want is your other part
Your love
Your life
Your hope
Sometimes strife
Your scope
To the upcoming
And your reason for your upholding
All you want is to have them back in your arms
Back to the place where no one can track
Where only together we held the knack
The knack for loving
The talent for caring
The specialty for knowing
The knowledge of each other
Like no other
We knew each string and every link
The links that as one kept us in sync
We knew each freckle or taste bud on the tongue
We knew each aspect that kept the other young
We were in love, loved, and still were to love
And even though death may come will still love even when they’re gone

Gone.
