Poem: Losing a loved one.
What can be said
or written that has not
Already been read
or done
That can bring back the dead?

What tears can express
the hurts and pain
Underneath the veil of hot rain
Please, tell me
What can really be gained
from a salty stain?

So where do we find
The courage of time
In a moment of despair
That holds no reason
Or rhyme:
Memories trapped
inside a hand held mime.

Behind the glass oval wall
Stands a lady tall
with flaws buried beneath
Her warm embrace
Illuminating beauty and grace
ETERNAL the smile now on her face.

Absent are the fears
Of tomorrow’s hopes and dreams
No sorrow can be seen
in the eyes of the lady
on the screen.

The glare removed
The truth revealed
Our lives mirrored
Our love forever sealed.
