I felt in love with a man and the text explains that (problem)
Love is a strange phenomenon, isn’t it? We all know the pleasurable feeling to be in love with somebody. For some, the pink dream developes to a great happy end, if the adored partner feels the same. Other people like meare not blessed with such good luck. We have lost our bleeding red hearts to men who are not ready to catch it and care for it. The problem is, in the majority of cases, a person posing as a potential partner fitting our wishful thinking is still in a relationship and quite satisfied. You can rejoice, if the man you are quite fond of contracts a friendship with you. Otherwise, you will lose him forever.

The man I fell head over heels in love for is called Kai. His crazy curly brown hair overlaps his ears and awards him an expression like a wild tiger. In four months, he is going to leave America. He plans to move to Germany, a country that is about 6500 kilometres away. In his opinion, that is an insuperable problem and would distract me from thinking about a possible relationship with him, even though it does not funtion. Why not? Nobody knows better than my strong heart, which is independent from space and time. We live in the present, and what will happen until this certain August is unpredictable. Only one thing is definitely clear. In my belief, the real and true love will find a way to survive the everyday obstacles which seem impossible at first glance. Therefore it needs a chance!

“Kai it’s time to decide what you feel. Please tell me! That would make me understand the reason why it’s better to forget you!” Of course, I expected to hear that something in my personality disturbed him. “Okay, it’s simple. I consider the facts and feel no optimism. I am much too realistic to share your dreams.” Obviously, he didn’t want to be unfriendly, so I wanted to provoke him. “To be too realistic can also be foolish, you know?” However, Kai isn’t as easy to influence. “No Trish. Look, maybe you should enjoy dreaming at night. One can’t stop that. Of course you should dream about what you will do after school. That’s what will motivate you to achieve what you’re aiming for. To dream about a perfect love that strong enough to handle any problem in that dimension sounds stupid.” I couldn’t believe how his reaction seemed so logical, and yet I sensed no emotion from him. “What happened to you Kai? In my opinion, only men who are still suffering from old frustrations have lost their faith in love. Do you fear further disappointment?”

I started to think about how many partnerships he had experienced so far, maybe five or six. “Most people would do the same. Wouldn’t you?” he asked. “Of course I would, but without risks there is no fun, and worst of all, there is no love! Even under the best circumstances, there are no guarantees; your relationship could develop into something great or... something you might forget when you’re sitting in the plane to Germany.” After this last sentence, my cheeks blushed and Kai began to smile. “Then answer me this, exactly how sure are you that we fit together?” I wished I could look another direction than into his beautiful brown eyes full of expectation on my following words. “Kai, I think it would be better not to be too sure of everything, but I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe in the potential of a relationship with you. The question is whether your heart will open for somebody new or are you more interested in a friendship? Or will this conversation be the end of our relation?”

I was waiting to get an answer during which suddenly I remembered my grandma Eleonore who asked me a few weeks ago about my love life. “Is there a boy you like more than any other?” I told her about Kai and that he has a girlfriend. To my surprise the 79-year-old lady laughed and asked unexpectedly fresh: “Where’s the problem?”
