For the families that has became victims of a love who was slain in the streets
Why do you leave my heart aching because you have killed my child and you have no worries about what you have done?  You leave a child without a dad a mother without a son and a father without his boy.

Why do you leave my soul with an empty space I know my child was no saint.  But do you have no worries about what you have done.  You leave a grandparent without a grandchild, an uncle without a nephew, and a boy without his favorite cousin. Do you know the pain that you have caused?

Why do you leave my mind in a horrible state I know my son life was in the streets.  But do you have no worries about what you have done you leave a sister without her brother, an aunt with a nephew, and a man without his sibling.  Who gives you the right to choose his fate?

Why do you leave an ache in the pit of my stomach I know my son may have been doing wrong. But do you have no worries about what you have done.  You leave a woman without her man, you leave a homie without his friend, and you leave this world with one less black man. Why?
