A poem that reflects on relationships
Mirror

Supple hands no more
Mirror on such vanity lies
Foolish lovers' touch that fades
Time...
Time...
Fragile lines deeply etched in time.
Swept away by the howling winds of goodbye
Who are you there in the loess of memories?
The girl I knew?
The woman he loves?
The me I have become?
I knew you well, but I know you not at all
In the end, I fade...
In the end, you fade...
In the end, we are no more.
Frozen forever beneath timeless unchiseled stone.
