a past clinging to the heart of a young woman. A secret admirer is born.
The girl opened her eyes slowly to her white ceiling. She sat up, her hair falling like silk over her shoulders. She had placed drapes over all her windows. She didnt want the sun to peek into her misery or the moon to shine upon it. The pain in her chest came in a second. A pain found at the bottom of your heart. Tears began to fall down her cheeks, she was used to them that she ignored to wipe them away. she walked out and saw her cello leaned against the window.
she sat down and began to play its low sad notes. It cried for her. If only she could weep as beautifully.

The sun found its way through one of the drapes catching the silver ring on her finger. It seemed to blink at her every time she moved the bow. She stared at it. It seemed so unnatural. . a silver ring on her finger.

If he could hold her hand. . if he could hold her warmly as she slept. . if he could press her close just to feel her heart beat next to his. . why. . why couldnt he say he loved her?

She quickly stood up and pulled at the drapes letting it fall at her feet. she looked at the sky straight in the face. It was happy. It was the same as it was when he was with her. why didnt it change? she looked away and walked back into her room. Time seemed to stop in her room. It didnt exist. She hugged herself and walked back out. She grabbed her cello again and let it weep for her.

He would walk by the same street everyday but suddenly he would hear a song being played. the song would stop him and keep him trapped in its soft melody. He looked up at the 4th floor. The drapes had fallen. He would stay until the song was finished. Only then would he walk on. It didnt matter if he was late for work.

He held his breath and the music stopped and a girl looked out the window. Her black hair spilled over her shoulders. She looked like a dream. He had to know her. why was her melody so sad?

There was a note on her floor the next day. Was it from him? From the man that gives silver rings? Her hands trembled as she picked it up. she read the words "falling" and "in love" she thew the note away. how dare he! whoever wrote it. how dare he!

She had the window open and took out many sheets of paper. She began to write. Nothing came out as she wanted it to sound. she would let the papers fall as she finished writting on them.

"Leave me. I'm broken."

"stop this."

"I am afraid."

"I'm still cold from death."

"You can't love me."

"How many promises can u keep?"

"who are you?"

Over and over she would write them and let them fall. She wanted to see them fall. They looked like the feathers of a falling angel. Then she saw him, a young man wearing a suit. He didnt look like a man that gave silver rings. His eyes were too sweet. His hair jet black. She wrote one last thing and let it fall. She closed her window and walked back into her room where time didnt exist.

He looked up at her window again. It was open. He was in luck. Today would be different again. Nothing happened at first but he wouldnt move until something happened. Suddenly he saw papers fallling. He would read what they said as they fell over him like snow. Her answer? Her thoughts? He didnt understand. He reached out and grabbed one. He noticed she closed the window. This was the last thing she wrote. This would be his answer.

"goodbye my love."

He pressed the letter against his chest and walked down the street. Humming her sad song as he walked.
