A poem written about romance's obstacles.

Silence marks the time
At the beginning and end of each day
Making each new day sublime
Renewing our ongoing parlay;
With nothing but increased faith
I find myself breathing your air,
I wonder about gambling’s wraith
And if it will bring upon despair.

Yet emotions and thoughts of me
Become more motivation in love,
As I wonder if you could be
Innocence sent from above;
But obstacles set in our corridor
In defense what you may see,
From behind the locked door
Which I don’t hold the key.

To you my words flow so freely
From my lips upon your ears -
And your reaction is merely
What I search for, for years;
Your innocence in desire
For a simple yearned kiss
Is passion’s burning fire
That shall bring you such bliss

So I ponder on how I will fair
With the time that I’d never trade,
And romance that we shall share
When karma’s debts repaid;
So today to you I forever deem
That if you give up the will to fight,
You can forever find me in a dream
Cloaked by the silence after midnight.
