Can one person possibly make a difference? Could you be the one?
Let’s Stop the World

How can we understand the pain
of those who seek relief in vain
From ravages of war and death
And cry for mercy with fleeting breath?

We live our lives without much thought
Of peace our soldiers died and bought
To live our everyday lives in calm
Without a mortar round or bomb.

Let’s extend our hearts and love to others
Who’ve lost children, parents, sisters and brothers
No day goes by without the fear
They’ll never live another year.

If we had power to stop the strife
Give each one back his treasured life
How sweet the peace for troubled souls
What else but that should be our goal?

Until we can relate to those in need
Their heartaches let us deeply heed
Kindness, compassion, love and caring
These things with others we’d be sharing

Let’s stop the world and make it right
Change it from darkness back to light
When love becomes the dominant force
We’ll know we’ve reached the highest course.
