the continued version of part one

Sakura nods to him tiptoeing out of the room. Syaoran quickly dresses in his uniform slinging the strap of his dragon sword’s sheath over his head. He ties the two pouches of daggers and knives around his waist then tying the strings to his dragon cloak. Syaoran pulls the hood over his head hiding his almost pointy ears under the wide brim hood. He walks out of the room finding his friends outside the door. The Dragon Guardians creep down the stairs walking out of the room. They shut the door quietly running to the alley. They dash down the main street finding the Minotaurs two paces in front of them. They hid in the alley with Syaoran taking out three knives out of his pocket. He waits for the moment and the moment comes. With a flick of the wrist, Syaoran sends his three knives at three Minotaurs striking them in the skulls. The three Minotaurs who got the knives to the head fall to the ground with blood oozing out their brain. Sakura looks to Syaoran seeing a flame blaze brightly in his eyes like a relentless anger controlling his mind. Syaoran wields his dragon sword running out of the alley and at the Minotaurs. The Minotaurs wield their two handled axes from the leather sheathes holding them in front of them in a defensive position. A diabolical smile comes across Syaoran’s lips finally being able to have revenge on every last Minotaurs for killing his parents. He swiftly charges at them holding out his sword in attack position. He grips tightly to the hilt still charging at his enemies. Sakura looks at him with fear never seeing this side of him. Drake had tested their every ability to see what kind of fighter they were (a relentless killer, a defensive attacker or a plain fighter) but he was never able to break through Syaoran. She guesses that Minotaurs make Syaoran show his true fighting abilities or anything that might anger him.

“Now we know to stay on his good side.” advises Sakura. “We need to alert the Guardian dragons of the Minotaurs so we evacuate from here the moment Syaoran is done.”

A Minotaur lunges his two-handle axe at Syaoran’s head but Syaoran slides underneath the axe. He strikes the Minotaur at the knees slicing the Minotaur’s legs off. A pool of blood appears underneath the Minotaur. The Minotaur hollers in pain falling to ground as blood ooze out of his knees. He rises to his feet jumping at another Minotaur. He brings his sword to the Minotaur’s left eye stabbing the Minotaur right through the skull. He kicks the Minotaur off his sword pushing him to the ground. One more Minotaur stands to be killed next shaking in his leather boots. Syaoran glances over to him making a smile come across his face. Syaoran holds his sword straight at the Minotaur focusing all his firepower for one attack. The red blade of his dragon sword glows a deep fire colour focusing from the firestone at the hilt of the blade. The Minotaur’s eyes widened as he sees his life ending. Syaoran fires a fireball at the Minotaur burning the Minotaur to ashes. The Guardian dragons swoop down to the streets and the Dragon Guardians grab the saddle horns pulling themselves up into the saddles. Syaoran looks to the ground seeing crows pick at the bodies of the Minotaurs.

“We are taking you all to the elves for further training before any of you go up against anymore danger.” speaks the Fire Guardian dragon. “Maybe they can help with someone’s anger issues.”

“Hey, you would act that way too if your parents were killed by Minotaurs!” snaps Syaoran. “Fuck it; you would never understand my pain.”

Everyone is quiet for the rest of the trip as Syaoran sulks in his saddle, hood hiding his face. They fly north to the border taking a little detour to stay away from the Enthranx castle. However, the dragons send a thought alert to the Dragonmaster telling him what happened. Soon they arrive at the forest entrance to where the elves live, which turns out to be magnificent or so Kalin says. Syaoran pays no attention to the forest almost as if he is hiding something from his friends and new girlfriend. Once the Guardian dragons land on the ground, the Dragon Guardians drop down from the saddles stretching the stiffness out of their legs. They soon realize they are surrounded by mysterious strangers making Syaoran pull out two daggers. There are three mysterious strangers but armed with bows that have arrows pointed right at them. The mysterious strangers pull back their hoods revealing them as female elves. Syaoran puts away his two daggers speaking in elven tongue to the three elves. The three elves talk back to him in their angelic voices with high courtesy. His friends gaze at the three elves noticing their white hair even do their faces belong to a twenty-year-old. Fai looks down to the elves body finding their bodies absolutely prefect. Their lush, sexy curved body attracts him to them making him think that they are meant to be together. One of the elves catches his eye making him look into her blue eyes. The blue-eyed elf looks back to him smiling to him. Fai smiles back to her then seeing Syaoran have a disapproval look on his face.

“Fai, meet my little sister Sandra. Sandra, I see you are trying to lure boys into your diabolical traps.” speaks Syaoran. “I see you haven’t changed one bit from the last time I saw.”

“I see you have a new girlfriend. Who got tired of who?” asks Sandra trying to bug her older brother.

“I got tired of her being all safe. I have found a new girlfriend who likes the dangerous side of being a dragon protector.” speaks Syaoran holding Sakura’s hand and Sakura smiles to Sandra. “Now we need to get to the elven city for some extra training in dragon protectors. Can you take us there?”

“Sure; I and Melinda plus Taylor were heading in the direction. We will take you homo sapiens there but your dragons will have to depart from the group and fly to the city.” speaks Sandra. “We will meet up with them before supper. Queen Alexandra would like to see you.”

“Man, she is still has the power of the throne. She is going to kill me for running away after she gave the position of elven guard even if I’m only half elf.” admits Syaoran. “Man, maybe coming isn’t the best of ideas.”

“Maybe she got over it. However, we will discuss this when we get there. We need to get moving before the forest starts to close in so nobody will be allowed in until morning.” advises Sandra.

The Guardian flap their wings taking off into the sky as the rest walk towards the forest. The trees in front of the forest are massive going up to the height of fifty feet tall and 24 feet in length. Kalin stares at the trees with gleaming eyes wondering how these trees got so big.

Chapter Five: Queen Alexandra and the elves

The group of teenagers walks down a narrow path between the massive trees and each step makes Kalin feel at home. They pass by many beautiful flowers making Kalin and Sakura awe at them. A mother fox and her young pass by them making them awe again at the cute little babies. Lanterns glows a silver light, possibly by magic, light the path on the side of the massive trees then a tone of singing fill their ears. The singing is angelic like the angels themselves singing. Syaoran fingers a dagger looking side to side for anything unusual. Something stirs in the bushes making him smile. He crosses his fingers at Fai and Yukito then jerking his thumb to the bush. Fai and Yukito nod to him jerking their thumbs up. Those two start to walk a little slow trailing right behind him. They give the same sign Syaoran gave to them to Kuro and Kalin who trail behind them. Kalin gives the signal to Sakura who walks a little bit faster, walking next to Syaoran. Syaoran uses sign language to tell Sandra that thieves are in the forest. Sandra nods to him holding out three fingers to countdown for the time to bolt down the path to the city.

Even do elves are fantastic fighters, they are still not a match for thieves. Thieves of the shogun had tactics to band together in a tight group and attack one person at the same time. They use the shadows so efficiently that it is hard to tell where they will strike next. Sandra is now holding up two fingers then it comes down to one.

“Run for it!” shouts Syaoran as the thieves come out of the darkness.

The company bolts down the path as the squads of thieves jump out from behind the trees. Syaoran throws a dagger at a thief’s head killing him instantly as the dagger got him on the temple. The thieves chase after them making the company put on a burst of speed. As they turn the last corner, Sandra slips on some slippery moss falling to the ground as she twists her ankle. Syaoran stops immediately racing back to her. He picks her up carrying her on his back. The thieves get close to them as the company gets closer to the elven city. The gates to the elven city began to close even if the shouts try to stop them. Kalin stomps her right foot on the ground blasting the gate wide open. The company put on another burst of speed bolting right past the gates. Kalin stomps her right foot once more slamming the gates shut. The elven archers above the gates take care of the thieves shooting them down with arrows. Elven guards walk towards them wearing a greenish uniform with a green cloak. Their snow-white hair cut short like a military soldier. They hold sharp broadswords in their hands making everyone nervous. Thinking quickly, Sandra pulls Syaoran’s hood off his head showing his almost pointy ears.

“Put down thy swords in front of the son of the Fire Dragon Swordsmen and the Thunder Dragon Swordsmen. Do you wish to upset the spirits of those dragon protectors.” shouts Sandra. “Do you wish to anger the Fire Dragon Guardian?”

“Come on Sandra, stop this nonsense. We know it just your brother Syaoran.” says one of the elves. “And he isn’t much of a threat.”

“Not much of a threat! Oh, you are going to get it now. Fai, take care of Sandra while I teach these bastards a lesson.” declares Syaoran handing Sandra over to Fai. “Come on, let’s fight weaklings.”

“That will be enough unless you want to leave the elven capital, Syaoran” warns Queen Alexandra. “I see you have returned to the humble home for elves even half elfins like yourself.”

“I thank you Queen Alexandra for allowing us into the elven capital, elfin paradise city. I see that you have grown use to the power in the throne.” speaks Syaoran. “I beseech you to allow us to stay in the city so we can finish our training in dragon protectors or at least some of our training done so we will be ready for the Shogun. Forget let what has happened in the past be forgotten.

“Your words have touched me at my heart. I was foolish to be furious of you when you were thinking for the best of the city and all elves. I make you and your friend elf friends to all elves,” declares Queen Alexandra. “Please join me in a feast to good health and forever good journeys in you and your friends favor.”

“I and my friends would be delighted to join you in a feast. However, we would like to get clean first and change into some nicer clothes. We would not want to offend you with our filthiness.” speaks Syaoran.

“Of course, I completely understand. You two guards, escort our guests to their rooms so they may change and clean up.” drones Queen Alexandra. “Then have a maid bring the proper attire to them. Moreover, have the maid bring them each a gold ring to make them official elf friends.”

“Hold on, Queen Alexandra. The girl in the black clothing stays with me.” Syaoran says in though speech the moment he gained access into Alexandra’s mind. “I feel the need to keep her near me so I can offer protection.”

“Of course, Sandra has already told me about you taking a shine to her.” Queen Alexandra says in thought speech. “I will relay the message to the two guards who will tell the maid. It is good seeing you again.”

“As it is good seeing you again.” Syaoran says in thought speech.

The Dragon Guardians follow the elven guards down a narrow hallway walking up five flights of stairs. Kalin stares at everything as the whole building is built out of a tree. She is amazed by how much accomplishments the elves have managed to do. The guards stop at one room departing as Kalin leaves the group. Five times over, the elven guards stop at a room leaving one person at the door until it comes down to Sakura and Syaoran. The elven guards take them two more flight of stairs then stopping at a door. Sakura and Syaoran thank the two guards before walking into the room.

The room is gigantic almost big enough to be a house. There is a king size bed at the back of the room, almost close to the open balconey. Rows of bookshelves take up the front part of the room with a small dining table in the middle. Syaoran slings his pack off his shoulder placing it on one of the chairs. He walks to the bed laying down as he puts his sheath, holding his dragon sword, on the bed table next to the bed with his two pouches of daggers and knives. Sakura puts her stuff on the floor next to the bed looking over to Syaoran.

“I’m going to take a shower to clean up before the feast.” advises Sakura. “And no you cannot join me.”

“Okay, I’m going to get some sleep. Wake me after you are done so I can clean up.” admits Syaoran as he slowly falls asleep.

Sakura smiles to him watching him drift into sleep. She walks into the bathroom undressing out of her silk dragon uniform. She turns on the hot water and cold water stepping underneath the showerhead. After half an hour, Sakura steps out from underneath the showerhead wrapping a towel around her naked body. She dries herself off walking out of the bathroom. She walks back into the main master bedroom finding a pile of jet-black clothing on the dining table. Sakura changes into the jet-black silk uniform then finding Syaoran still asleep on the bed. She sits next to him ruffling up his hair. She puts a finger to his lips tracing the outline of his mouth. Syaoran smiles in his sleep pulling her on top of his body. The scent of lavender fills his nostrils as he kisses her on the lips.

“Time to wake up, Syaoran.” says Sakura in her gentle tone of voice. “Come on, rise and shine.” She pulls the covers off him.

“I’m wake.” yawns Syaoran slowly getting out of bed. “Say, after I’m done getting clean, want to go exploring the Elfin city. With the whole team, of course.”

“That would be wonderful. I always wondered what the elven capital would be like.” admits Sakura.

“Okay, then we will go explore the Elfin city.” says Syaoran from the shower.

It takes him twenty-five minutes to shower and five minutes to get dress in fiery red silk clothes. He belts on his two pouches of daggers then slinging the strap to his sheath as he follows Sakura out the door. They stop to pick their friends up at their rooms, which are the same as their room. Soon the Dragon Guardians are out on the streets saying hello to the passing elves who say hello back to them. The streets are busy with elves running about to store-to-store. It is almost like a peasant marketplace.

“Come on, we got to get you guys some secondary weapons in the chance we lose our swords in a battle.” speaks Syaoran. “I know a really great weapon smith who can give us a really great deal on some weapons. Same person who custom-made these daggers for me. What do you say?”

“It would be wise to have a second weapon in case our swords were knocked away from us.” speaks Sakura. “Count me in.”

“Aye, count us in too.” says the rest of the team.

Syaoran leads them down the marketplace bringing them to the forgery section of the market. An old shop with weapons like spears and sabres in the window. The shop is made outward from the tree not inside of the tree, unlike the other shops. The shop windows are barred with iron bars still unlike the other shops. The Dragon Guardians enter into the shop making the bell ring. The shop is quite clean making every weapon shine bright in the available light. There are spears, tridents, staffs, swords, daggers, axes, war hammers, sabres and bows on racks making everyone expect Syaoran awe in amazement. They quickly go to different weapons looking at them with keen interest.

“These weapons were made with quite craftsmanship. The maker took a lot of attention into the detail craved into the metal.” admits Kuro as he fingers a white sabre.

“Why thank you very much. Not a lot of people pay attention to the detail in the metal. All they want is a weapon that will last them a long time.” speaks a feminine voice behind him. “How may I help you?”

“Good evening Ana, I was hoping you were not busy today. Just taking my new friends to a weapon smith who can provide a good second weapon for them in case their swords get away from them.” speaks Syaoran. “Moreover, I think the blades of our swords plus my daggers need to be sharpened.”

“I would be more than happy to sharpen the blade of your swords plus the daggers. However, let me help you get the prefect second weapon before I send you back onto the streets. The streets are not safe.” declares Ana in a cool feminine voice. “That weapon you beg me for just came in this morning, Syaoran.”

Ana steps into the back for a moment coming back into the main room with a longbow and a quiver full of arrows. Syaoran thanks her a thousand times, as she gives it to him. Ana helps the rest of the team carefully choosing the right weapon for them by asking them about their fighting techniques and their powers. She gives Kalin a staff because Kalin has the power of earth and the staff would work perfectly with the earthly spells. Ana gives Kuro the white sabre, as the white sabre works prefect with his icy spells. Fai receives a blue trident to help with control the powers of water more effective. Yukito gets a bundle of spears, as his wind powers can make the spears soar farther. Sakura receives a small war hammer with a special legend about it.

“This war hammer use to belong to the great Thor, master of Thunder. Now I trust you will be able to keep good care of the hammer.” whispers Ana is her cool feminine voice. “If you take good care of the hammer, the war hammer will greatly help your powers over thunder.”

“Thank you for this special gift.” thanks Sakura.

The Dragon Guardians hand over their dragon swords to Ana and Syaoran gives her his two pouches of daggers. Ana tells them she will have them back in their rooms before the feast even begins. She goes into the back of the room beginning to sharpen the blades. The Dragon Guardians leave the shop with their second weapons splitting up their different ways to explore in the places. Syaoran and Sakura head to the north side of city where many couples seem to be in that direction. Everything is very peaceful at that section of the city until a screams pierces the moment. Syaoran holds the longbow in his hand with an arrow nock to the bowstring. Sakura has the war hammer in her hand ready to strike anyone who dares come near her. An elven couple falls to the ground with two arrows sticking out of their heads. Syaoran points up to the rooftops seeing a lone raider on the rooftop. He fires the arrow at the lone raider getting him the head. A team of elven guards come up behind the two Dragon Guardians jumping up to the rooftop. The body of the lone raider is thrown down the roof while another team of elven medics checks the damage on the elven couple.

“No use, they are dead. Arrow right to the head.” says an elven guard. “Track down anymore raiders in the elfin city.”

“No use, this lone raider was only getting information to see how many elves are populating the city. Probably the last of its gang after they were killed yesterday.” speaks Syaoran. “However, you should patrol the outside perimeter.”

The elven guard nods to Syaoran shouting out the orders to his fellow guards. Sakura and Syaoran head further down the marketplace looking at the many trinkets. Many of the female elves giggle when Syaoran passes them by, making Sakura grab his hand. Syaoran smiles to her worries not paying attention to the female elves.

“Don’t worry, I find female elves to be boring. They always worry about their looks and how they look in the light.” speaks Syaoran. “Come on, we should head back to Ana’s shop. She should be done by now.”

“You have high interest of Ana.” says Sakura. “Why is this?”

“Ana raised me and my sister after our parents were killed by Minotaurs. She is almost like my godmother, always taking care of me.” advises Syaoran. “Ana taught me more skill of a sword in case I got in a fight. Someone that is stronger and taller than I was, like an elf. Most of them were members of the elven guard. Ana taught me how to become a better fighter.”

“And you repaid her by leaving elfin city.” drones Sakura.

“No, I repay her by leaving the elfin city so she could keep her shop. Queen Alexandra gave me three choices after I refused her offer of joining the elven guard. The first one was to apologize and join the elven guard. The second one was leave elfin city or Ana will lose her shop.” corrects Syaoran. “So I left the elfin city that night meeting up with a female traveler who in couple weeks back became my ex girlfriend.”

“How did you and Jenny become a couple?” asks Sakura. “I’m sorry if it brings up old memories that pain you.”

“It’s okay; you just want to know me better. Well, I traveled the road with Jenny at my side still getting into fights. Especially with thieves as I stole from them to keep Jenny and me fed. After an incident in River city, Jenny grabs my hand pulling me into a nearby alley.” speaks Syaoran. “That was the day she first kissed me on the lips.Usually she would kiss me on the cheek or the nose as a friend.”

“Hmm, you seem to have a very interesting life. I think I will grow use to you over the months and maybe weeks I hope. Just try not to go back to your thieving ways.” falters Sakura.

“I will only go back to my thieving ways if we run out of meat like dried meat. That stuff is really good.” admits Syaoran. “Hey look, our friends are already at the shop.”

“Yeah and they seem to be worried about something.” says Sakura. “Let’s hurry so we can find out faster.”

Syaoran and Sakura dash towards their friends who quickly pull them into Ana’s shop. Ana pushes them to the back of the shop giving them their weapons. Syaoran quickly belts on his two pouches of daggers around his waist slinging the strap of his sheath over his shoulder. Sandra comes running into the shop throwing the Dragon Guardians’ packs at them. The Dragon Guardians catch the packs slinging the straps over their shoulders.

“I demand to know what is going on.” demands Syaoran. “Tell me now!”

“The raiders have broken into the city through the front gate. They come in huge numbers looking for you six under the orders of the Shogun’s new Raider lord. Flee the city to the mountains where the rebels and your teacher await you.” whispers Ana. “Use the ancient trails to get out of here safely.”

“What about you and Sandra?” asks Syaoran.

“I promise you that we will be fine. The raiders only come looking for you six not intending to harm anyone else.” shouts Ana. “Now get out of here!”

The Dragon Guardians run out the back door heading into the alley. Syaoran’s friends follow him down a dark alley coming to a wall with a large door-like hole in it. Syaoran draws out his bow nocking an arrow to the bowstring. He peeks out the hole finding the coast to be clear. They bolt through the door-like hole dashing on a well-beaten dirt path. The Dragon Guardians run for half an hour coming out of the forest and into the open. Night starts to appear in the sky but the Dragon Guardians run for a couple of miles away from the forest before setting up camp. Syaoran gathers up some twigs putting them in a pile in a circle of rocks. He sticks out his palm above the pile of twigs casting out a spark spell. A couple of sparks fly out of his hands making the twigs catch on fire. He feeds some more twigs to the fire making a nice big fire. Syaoran digs into his pack to see what Sandra has put in it. He finds a change of fiery red silk robes, three loaves of bed, some fruit like apples and oranges. cheese and six plastic bottles of milk (those two things are enchanted with magic so the cheese will not become mouldy and the milk will not go sour), and more pieces of dried meant like turkey, beef, chicken, pig plus vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage. He finds a pouch that contains jalapeno peppers making his mouth water. He also finds two small sacks of gold coins, silver coins, copper coins for his traveling. Syaoran quickly eats a jalapeno pepper sighing as his mouth feels very hot. His friends return from getting rid of their tracks sitting down on their sleeping pads looking through their bags to find the same things Syaoran found in his pack expect different kind of colour for the change of silk robes. Syaoran takes out a stick of dried turkey meat taking a bite out of it.

His friends also take out a stick of dried turkey sitting around the fire as they chew on the dried meat. A half hour later, the Dragon Guardians are lying on their sleeping pads resting their heads on their pillows. They hear the gust of wind seeing their Guardian dragons land on the ground. The Guardian dragons lay next to their youngling humming softly to them. The Dragon Guardians soon start to get tired closing their eyes as they fall asleep. The Guardian dragons use their tails to put the blankets overtop their younglings resting their heads on the ground. The stars twinkle bright in the sky showing that nothing is going to go wrong during the night. With one breath, the Sea Guardian dragon puts out the fire making sure that only the coals are giving off heat and not a large light like the fire was doing. The Dragon Guardians curl up under their blankets pulling the blankets closer to their bodies. The Guardian dragons rest their heads on the ground slowly falling asleep. The next day, Syaoran’s friends start to awaken finding that Syaoran is not in his bed. They began to get worry about him especially Sakura. However, they come back down the trail they had run the day before.

“Where did you go off to?” demands Sakura biting into an apple.

“I was making sure that nobody was following our trail. However, I have come to the conclusion that we cannot travel in a pack like this any further.” advises Syaoran taking a sip of milk. “Our trail is too easy to follow. We need to split up to make the trail hard to follow.”

“So what do you in mind?” asks Fai.

“We split into two groups, three members to a group. I, Sakura, and Fai will take the trail to the east...” says Syaoran.

“Why is that?” interrupts Yukito.

“I am not letting Sakura out of my sight so I can protect her. Fai’s powers over water will help me keep my fire power under control and be able to put a fire attack out if the attack hits a straw house and sets it on fire.” declares Syaoran. Sakura punches him in the shoulder for saying that she needs his protection. “You, Kalin, and Kuro will take the north trail. This trail goes straight to the mountains so stay on the trail. We will meet the village at the edge of the mountains.”

“Okay, good luck with your journey.” says Yukito putting on his pack.

“And the same with yours.” says Syaoran.

“Why don’t we just fly to the mountains?” asks Kuro as he puts on his pack.

“I like to stay out of the attention of the lord who controls the dark flying creatures of the shogun. It would mean trouble if they were sent after us.” answers Syaoran.

That group walks down the north trail with their dragons flying above them. Syaoran takes one more sip of milk before screwing the cap back on and putting the plastic bottle back into his pack. Syaoran heaves his pack onto his pack walking down the west trail with his three friends following behind him. Their Guardian dragons fly above them making sure that the trail is safe from danger. After deciding the trail is safe, the three Guardian dragons go off hunting. The three Dragon Guardians keep their heads low from passing travelers trying to take attention away from themselves. They even have their weapons, the swords and their secondary weapons, hidden inside the silk cloaks keeping them out of sight. They each have their hoods on their heads but that is to keep the sun from scorching the back of their necks. Fai speeds up his pace walking right next to Syaoran.

“So what is the plan? Are we just going to walk all the way to the mountains?” asks Fai in a low whisper.

“No, we are going to stop at the one inn in the villages to get some good food and drinks and a nice place to sleep. I do not want to be outdoors when we get to the villages. The guards will start to question and that leads us to disaster.” answers Syaoran. “I have some bad news.”

“What kind of bad news?” questions Sakura speeding up her pace to hear.

“The Shogun has overtaken Enthranx. His tactics were great against our own tactics. He now rules Enthranx.” speaks Syaoran with regretful tone.

“You mean we are now fugitives in our own country?” says Sakura in a shocked tone. “When did you learn of this?”

“My dragon just told me after doing scouting reports on the Enthranx castle.” whispers Syaoran.

“What is going to happen?” asks Fai. “Our fellow comrades do not know of this.”

“They are going to meet us at the inn of the first village we reach tonight. It is now better to travel in a large pack than a group of three. At least we will chances to survive if one of the Shogun’s soldiers finds out about us.” advises Syaoran. “Their dragons will drop them off several yards away from the village so the soldiers will not see the dragons. They might get the Shogun to send his whole army after us.”

“I understand. This job is turning out to be more dangerous than I thought.” whispers Fai. “Pretty cool, huh?”

“Yes it is.” admits Syaoran with a smile.

Chapter Six: The Mountains and the rebels

After several hours of walking, the three Dragon Guardians finally make it to the first village just as the gates were about to close. The Shogun’s guards for that village allowed them through not paying any attention to them. They quickly head to the nearest inn sitting at one of the Kuroches. Their friends come along from the other side of the street sitting on the other side of the Kuroch. They acknowledge each other with a smile not talking about their short trips, as five guards pass them by. A serving girl brings them a bowl of soup and a glass of mead, only items on the inn can afford since the taxes made by the Shogun are expensive. Syaoran pays her twenty gold coins and gives the serving girl ten extra gold coins as a tip. The serving girl smiles to him before going back to work. The Dragon Guardians pull down their hoods, as they eat their meal. The same five guards come walking into the inn sitting themselves at the far left side of the Dragon Guardians. The Dragon Guardians listen to the conversation of the villagers ignoring the guards.

“Both of my sons drag into military service just this morning. My wife hasn’t stop crying all day as she will never see them again.” moans a villager, named Tom. “This is a rotten life I say.”

“Tom, be quiet or the guards will take you to the dungeons.” snaps another villager, named George. “Then your wife will be subject to be rape by the guards.” Sakura shudders at the word “rape”.

“What is the point? Talk or no talk we still get in trouble and our wives still get rape by the guards if they wander out of the safety of our homes.” says another villager named Brian. “Life was not always like this. I remember yesterday it was peaceful until we lost.”

“Yeah, our children could play without being whip at by the guards and our wives would not be subject to rape.” admits Tom.

“It is those five guards over there that do all these nasty things?” asks Syaoran.

“Yes traveler; those five guards are the worst. It’s their fault our lives are miserable.” whispers Brian. “If I were you, I keep those two girls close to you before the guards come up with some fake law.”

“Don’t worry; I got everything under control.” speaks Syaoran. “Just you watch and see.”

The five guards had finished their meal walking on the side of the Kuroch Syaoran was sitting on. Syaoran catches a guard giving Sakura a look, the look that means the guard will subject Sakura to rape. As the guard passes by him, Syaoran acts rather clumsily making what was left of his soup onto the guards’ boots. Luckily, the floor is just the bare ground so nobody will have to clean it up. However, the guard might make Syaoran clean his boots with his boots.

“You ruined my favourite pair of boots, boy!” barks the guard. “Now clean off my boots or I will have you sent to the dungeons. Then your loved one will be subject to rape. I will enjoy every last part of it.”

With incredibly quick speed, Syaoran kicks the guard in the back making the guard knock over the other guards. The guards quickly get back on their feet holding their swords in their hands. The villagers quickly get out of the way, as the guards kick the Kuroches away. The Dragon Guardians rise to their feet wielding their dragon swords. The guards smile diabolically finally having the chance to kill someone. They will kill the boys first then subject the two girls to rape and kill them afterwards. The five guards charge at the Dragon Guardians cleaving their swords at them. The Dragon Guardians step out of the way making the guards strike the Kuroch. The guards pull their swords out of the wooden Kuroch charging the Dragon Guardians once more. The Dragon Guardians parry the strikes striking back at the guards. The guards strike with so much determination it makes the Dragon Guardians laugh.

“Man, these guards must have desire to have intercourse a lot.” laughs Yukito.

“What do you expect? When you are ugly as them, raping a woman is the only chance they have to please their erotic pleasures.” jokes Syaoran. “It’s pretty sad if you think about it.”

“Yeah, and it’s even more sad that these guards can barely fight with swords. It must pain them that they are losing to a bunch of kids and to two girls.” laughs Kalin.

“Lets allow them some dignity and just kill them here and now. On the count of three.” speaks Sakura. “One, two, three and strike.”

The Dragon Guardians cleave off the guards’ heads kicking the bodies to the ground. They clean the blood of their blades with the guard’s sweaters sheathing their swords back into their sheaths. Syaoran throws a tiny ball to the ground making a cloud of smoke appear at their feet. After the smoke clears, the villagers find them to be gone. The Dragon Guardians are flying in the sky forgetting about their worries about the Shogun having his lord over flying creatures send flying creatures after them. The Guardian dragons soar in the night sky making the wind whip their riders. They dive to the ground, as the mountains come into view.

“Flying is so much faster than walking. It has only taken us a half a hour to reach the mountains.” teases the Thunder Guardian dragon. “It would have taken you weeks to reach the mountains.”

“Just get us to the mountains; I do not want to be flying in broad daylight when everyone can see us.” says Sakura.

“Nazgul!” shouts Syaoran. “Nazguls and their riders are following after us!”

“Then we are going to out run them.” speaks the Fire Guardian dragon. “Hold on tight!”

The Dragon Guardians grip tightly to the reins preparing for the worst. With a mighty flap of their winds, the Guardian dragons pull up into the sky gliding on a fast gust of wind. However, the Nazguls are getting closer to them and the odds of making it to the mountains are slim. Syaoran racks his brain for an idea finally coming up with one.

“Fire, turn around.” whispers Syaoran. “We are going to attack the Nazguls first.”

“Why would we do that?” asks Fire.

“So our comrades may make it to the mountains safely. The Nazguls will only catch up to us if we do not slow them down. I know it is risky but we must protect our friends.”

“I understand.” admits Fire.

Fire dives out of the gust of wind opening his wings, as he takes a tight turn. Syaoran and Fire are now flying straight at the Nazguls challenging them. Syaoran’s friends scream at him and Syaoran gives them a glance before looking back to the Nazguls. The other Guardian dragons continue to fly to the mountains despite their riders protests. Syaoran wields his dragon sword preparing to fight against the Nazgul riders. This is way out of my league but this is so cool, he thinks to himself, I hope Sakura could forgive me if I survive. Fire soars right above a Nazgul lashing out at the Nazgul with his spiked tail. One of the spikes scratches the Nazgul across the face and the Nazgul snaps at Fire. Syaoran parries blows with a Nazgul rider making sparks fly as the blades strike each other. He conjures his powers to the blade of his dragon sword making the fight more interesting. He fires a fireball at a Nazgul but unfortunately, the Nazgul dodges the attack. Syaoran decides not to use any spell, as it would be useless in battling while flying. The Fire Guardian dragon breathes fire on Nazgul burning the Nazgul’s wings. Both the Nazgul and the rider scream in terror, as they plummet to the ground below. Syaoran hears a sickening crash, as he parries blow with another rider. He manages to knock the sword away from the rider stabbing the rider in the chest. The rider falls off the saddle making Syaoran hear another sickening crash. Fire lashes out with his tail at the Nazgul without the rider striking the Nazgul in the eye. Another sickening crash comes to Syaoran’s ears. Syaoran blocks a strike from the last Nazgul rider but the Nazgul managed to get his sword past Syaoran’s dragon sword. The Nazgul rider strikes Syaoran in the arm leaving a very nasty cut. Syaoran screams out in pain clutching his arm where the cut is.

“Are you okay?” asks Fire worryingly.

“Yeah, fly to the ground. I cannot fight with this damn cut on my arm. Maybe we can make the Nazgul crash into the ground as it gets stricken with fear.” says Syaoran as he sheathes his sword unable to hold his sword.

“How are going to do that?” asks Fire.

“Close in your wings tightly and plummet to the ground. When I say open, you open your wings soaring over the ground.” advises Syaoran. “The Nazgul will get scared after seeing that you are not going to pull up. It will be too busy to notice at the safe time it has.”

“That plan is crazy!” snaps Fire. “Crazy enough to work, let’s do it!”

Fire closes his wings tightly to his body plummeting to the ground below. The Nazgul does the same thing chasing after the Fire Guardian dragon. At that drop rate, the wind whips at both riders putting bruises on their body. Normal people would see the ground get blurry by the minute unable to see the ground but the powers in the riders took care of that. Syaoran waits until they are out of the safety zone ands shouts out the command. The Fire Guardian dragon opens his wings soaring above the ground. The Nazgul crashes head first into the ground crushing its rider under its weight. The Nazgul had broken its neck unable to breathe. Syaoran’s injury takes over him making him fall out of the saddle. Syaoran smashes his head into the ground leaving a nasty gash to the forehead. Fire roars in terror flying back to Syaoran. He picks up Syaoran with his talons flying as fast as he can to the mountains. He reaches the mountains in record time coming to a closing cave entrance. Fire slips into past the closing rock doors landing on three legs on the ground. It was not an easy landing but he could not risk Syaoran. He roars out into the cave after seeing his fellow dragons on the far side. Sakura spins on her heel seeing Fire next to the cave entrance. Then she sees Syaoran in his talons making bolt over to him. Her friends follow her including some other people, possibly the rebels. Fire’s fellow Guardian dragons stand at the back of the group.
