In remembering our first time together.
strong connection
it pushes
relentless in it's intensity
gives the need to pull you in
to me
your gaze burns
fires from lost centuries
rekindling desires
and a thirst for understanding
of knowing that there can be
no withholding
to deny would only make
a fool of me
a sigh that plays like a tremor upon my chest
makes me quake from places I have kept
secret for what seems forever
such an unknowing thief
stumbling upon the key so easily
the fault does not lie upon you or your hand
some things are meant to be taken
sometimes wantonly
have we danced so close on some earlier encounter?
finding the rhythm all too familiar and comfortable
to not ponder that thought
as the first tears were born on my cheek
you kissed them away
only to bring forth more
yet they were prepared and came cloaked
though surely you knew of them
for you had tasted their kindred
another sigh
another ache
one more kiss
I dare not forsake
the feel of wet skin in the dark
the press of your body into mine
we gently turn
here, there, back again
examining the way we animate ourselves and eachother
the reciprocation of control
the unleashed wanting
the uninhibited giving
is this what is meant of bliss?
a subtle twitch
brings an unsubtle pang
and a yearning
to mark you with my deed
expressing what power you wield
no sword or axe
simply that intense burning look
it burnt even when I'd look away
scorched my mind
though healed by your touch
is this what is meant of bliss?
