The newbies view of adding a poem. Why I did those don'ts.
Writing.com is a wonderful site
With a place to display all that I write
With dozens of links and lots to see
I wander through so aimlessly

I'll post my work, my stories, my poems
But how to do that is still unknown.
Creating an item is what I should do.
But how do I do that? I haven't a clue.

My portfolio... it's really quite sad.
I need the link that allows me to add.
Oh, looky there! I should have just read.
"Click here to create an item." It said.

I know the title, that I recall,
But item type, I don't know at all.
I'm really not sure... So 'other' is great
This simple thing won't determine it's fate.

A brief description? What is that for?
Just read the poem, it isn't much more.
A simple version, or a smaller draft?
Oh, this is going to cause quite a laugh.

The content rating depends who you ask.
But it isn't required for me to pass.
I'll think about it.., then I'll forget.
The dotted line just seems more fit.

Now for the genre... What does that mean?
A simple word, yet so confusing.
Oh, there's a choice of 'other' once more.
I'll do the same as I had done before.

Now for the poem. Written just right.
The endless hours. I stayed up all night.
The words come easy and quickly they flow.
Typing them all to the very last row.

To let everyone read the item I wrote.
With the click of the mouse, I'll now promote.
So now on my page, this poem will reside.
I'm so excited and gleaming with pride.
