how dark can a heart get?
Dark tower, Rainy day,
Sitting wasting time away.
Waiting for my prince to come,
Sitting here completely numb.

Happily ever after in the sun,
After everything’s said and done.
Dragon slayed, witch delayed.
My heart is being played.

I want a happy ending.
I need a heart mending.
Yet there’s something he’s got know,
My heart is as dark as the coming crow.

I’m nothing like Snow white,
Or Cinderella what one night.
I’m no Sleeping Beauty,
I’m a whole different duty.

I’m locked up all alone.
My heart has now grown.
It’s black inside now,
And nobody knows how.

Rainy days and rainy nights,
I look at all the lights.
Morning brings no calming joy,
And everyday brings no boy.

I want a happy ending.
I need a heart mending.
Yet my prince will have to know,
My heart’s now as black as the coming crow
