The Pain of depression, how it seems to go away only to come back like a sleeping monster.
Turn away and don’t come near,
You don’t want to know just what’s in here.
Keep it down, no noise to make,
Or else you just may make it wake.

It sleeps from time to time you see,
And when it does, it lets me be.
So do not a single movement make,
Or else you just may make it wake.

One day I’m sure it will reveal,
The reason it won’t let me feel.
So please don’t feel for what’s at stake,
Or else you just may make it wake.

When its awake it won’t let me see,
The reason that my life must be.
So tread as you would on a lake,
Or else you just may make it wake.

From below it starts to seethe,
I beg of you to please not breathe.
To be dead I ask you fake,
Or else you just may make it wake.

It’s too late you see it begins to move,
And now my worth it will disprove.
I guess I made my worst mistake,
I lived a life and made it wake.
