A poem about hurt and self-image.
A body with no soul, who roams the Earth alone. Looking endlessly around, to find itself a home.
Born out of sin, blown on the wind. There's no way in Hell to imagine the sorrow within.
Lifeless remains of what it once was, they took its heart and all that it loved.
The pain its endoured isnt easily explained. It's a distant memory but the hurt still remains.
It retreated to a place inside its mind so deep, where time stood still and its
memories it could keep.
It built a wall of hate and hid within it. To protect this place it would often visit.
You knocked it down, piece by piece. Breathed life into it and the pain soon ceased.
You've given it love and taught it to trust, It never knew it could love someone so much.
You've shown it a world of possibilities it never knew existed. Because a life lived in hatred had its mind so twisted.
You taught it a sense of security and showed it how to smile. It let down its guard as you watched the whole while.
Completely unsuspecting and nieve to the deal. You decieved it so well, it thought your love was real.
You gave it back life, only to take it away. The one it loved and would never betray.
It was lost and confused, not understanding the situation.
Alone again with only pain..I am an abomination.
