A poem about letting go of longing


                      Fat droplets of water splatter against
                      the white hot concrete hissing as they make contact
                      with the street
                         
                      The deluge continues with torrents of liquid sunshine pounding
                      my window
                      Pencil snaps
                      As shadows of you pass through
                       
                      Silver smile
                      Volcanic core
                      Haunted,struggling, I stretch,stand
                      Move to the door
