Being robbed of social respect from your own race.
For so long I thought that only the white man was stealing from me.
Taking away my chances for true equality.
Now my eyes are opened, and I can see.
That it’s not just the white man that’s robbing me.
It’s my own nationality.

GET YOUR HAND OUT OF MY POCKET!

Stripping me of my heritage, and strong values.
Causing me to work harder, and pay higher dues.
Making me think that it’s the man that’s causing me to loose.
Slowly loosing love for one another, and social respect.
Lyrically hanging each other with verbal nooses around our necks.

GET YOUR HAND OUT OF MY POCKET!

Allowing ourselves to be taught to speak improper grammar.
Our words cause us to be locked up in the pronunciation slammer.
Instead of a foreign language we choose Ebonics.
Now others are saying that we need to get hooked on phonics.

GET YOUR HAND OUT OF MY POCKET!

I’m not going to take this not a second longer.
i’m not a weak brother, but something much stronger.
I just don’t fit the pants, but the pants fit me.
Cause I ‘m a strong black man can’t you see?
I don’t snap, break, or even bend.
So I’ll tell you once again.
