Originally written in conjunction with an illustration for some illustrated verses.
Despite the comfort of the Deep
The Fish could ne'er swim far
Without breaking surface just a peep
To gaze upon the stars

And bob between two worlds a while
Between the oceans and the skies
Its cold, wet home about its tail
And Starlight in its eyes!
