A family name is passed down.
ANCESTRAL SEEDS.

"A rose by any other name
Would smell as sweet", it's said,
But will our name be spoken still
Long after we are dead?

I believe our names are chosen
Before we each are born,
Then given to us so proudly
When we first greet the dawn.

A child was born upon the day
His nation had its birth.
Federal seemed so very apt
A name for him on Earth.

Nineteen-0-one this child was born
Now, he has departed.
His great grandchild now bears his name:
Young Federal's life has started.

When passing on Ancestral Seeds
A child inherits genes -
His eyes, his skin, his family traits -
It's what ancestry means.

Joseph Federal would be pleased
To know his name lives on.
Zachery Federal has arrived!
The son of Joe's grandson.

To name a child Zakk Federal
May seem quite strange to all:
This is the name that we pass down
In our family, proud and tall.
