Sexual abuse
She weeps silently
As tears flow freely from her eyes
A quick motion wipes them from her face
Her shoulders heave as she cries

Thoughts are running wild
In her confusd little mind
Trying to make sense of them
As answer she tries to find

Her fault it is not
For she is very small
Tols it was a punishment
As she was pressed to the wall

Her fragile little body
Torn from the inside
Hurt so very cruelly
With no one to confide

With eyes red and swollen
From crying for so long
She eases to the kitchen
Thinking 'What have I done wrong?'

Memories from her past
Thinking of her life
She slowly reaches for
A cold hard knife

She runs it up her arm
Slowly and softly at first
Getting a feel for it
Until suddenly she bursts

Warmth runs down her wrist
And drips onto the floor
Her mind becomes a blank
As she slumps against the door

Her eyes are slowly closing
And now she knows it's true
As life slips from her body
She whispers 'May God forgive you.'
