A collection of poetry I pulled from my hardcover writing journal. Life in Calgary.
Carrying though with my wandering memoirs, from the places I have seen, and the places I have been to. This is the first part(and the one with the most material) of a two, possibly three part series.

Most of the poems accumulated here take a rather critical view of the city of Calgary, its expansion, and boom, along with the impacts on life both on a natural and intellectual level. To give emphasis on the poems themselves, it would be benefical to give you an understanding of my segway city.

Along with the sudden that the city's growth intails, the inhabitants must also learn to adapt to survive, just s they would in the wild; only those who are able to change are the ones that continue with life. This poses a silver lining problem that devides the populus in an awkward way, leaving many people unrepresented.

So that being the umbrella of which all things fall under, life is carried out in the same manner as anywhere, but as with the unique make-up of every city, Its not quite like anywhere else.

Enviromentalism/Green Movement, a hot topic for today's media, is another major concern with the lifestyle of Calgary, being that most of Calgary's success is credited to major oil conglomerates, making use of Northern Alberta's oilsands. This give Calgary a major black mark on the further west cities, which I orginally hail from.

So, this is what I collected from 2007, the ones worth collecting. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for taking the time to read the pretense inwhich these poems fall under.
