baseball story
There was a boy named Alex. Alex's brother was trying to make in the MLB (Major League Baseball). He decided he wanted to play baseball also. Fortunately, his father was a coach for a team of kids his age. He asked his dad "Can I be on the team?" His dad replied, “I can't just put you on the team you have to try out. Why do you want to be on the team all of a sudden?''

Alex said, "It seems fun." About one week later, he took Alex to his team's practice to try out. It turned out Alex was very good. His father said, "Congratulations Alex you’re on the team." Alex was not very excited. Alex told his father he could play any position. When Alex hit it was usually a home run. When he pitched, no one could hit his curve ball. When he played first, second, or third base it was always an out.

One day at their championship, game Alex's father asked him to be catcher. Alex was not very excited about this because he says that position is boring. The game was tied and had gone into the tenth inning! The team they were playing was at bat. They had two strikes, two out, no outs, and bases loaded. Then Alex's team threw a pitch for ball one. Then another it was a bunt! Someone on Alex's team threw the ball to him but he could not catch and it hit him in the eye. The other team had scored four runs and won the game. Everyone was upset with Alex. Alex's father was not upset because he did not catch it. He was upset because Alex was being a show off.
