A poem written about my brother as a teenager that shows despite his aggravating nature.
Only a Brother
Blong ringlets Bouncing every way
A flash of blue A bright red streak
Make only one combination
He may be small but he moves like lightening
Crashing across a now cloudy sky
The sounds that accompany him
Are like thunder heard from across a
darkening lake
He is nothing but trouble
But can melt you in a heartbeat
With his innocent baby blues and pretty
Smile that should only belong to a girl
Finally asleep he appears to be an angel
His still babylike face barely peeking out
From under his worn blanket is innocence
All anger at him easily disappears
He is my four year old brother
In so many ways he is growing up
But the baby still remains.
