Poem about the depth of the beasts within us all.
I've seen the beast within; the depths of your sin.
The blackness, the emptyness, the void.
Yet you turn me away.
"You do not know me," you say.
Yet I have seen the beast within; the blackness of your sin.
The depth of your love has been shown.
I know you.
I know the beast; I've dwelt with the beast within.
It's there, I know it.
I've talked with it.
I have been with it.
I loved it.
Love has changed now.
The beast within; the depths of your sin.
I no longer know who you are.
What happened? How? Why?
Do I still know the beast, or the depths of your sin?
I still know.
You push me away, shut the door, turn the key.
Where did it go?
The Key.
You've taken it back, denied me entrance into your heart.
I have lost it.
The life I once had is no more.
I no longer know the beast within.
Though I don't know the beast within, I still know...
The blackness of your sin, the void you have created within.
