ggggggggggggggggggggggg
loShe stood there, facing her enemy. She put all her weight on her good leg, that hadn’t been injured in the fight. Her black hair, which was tangled and messy, drifted behind her in the breeze. Her ice blue eyes stared foreward at the three men that held her there with magi guns.
She knew this could be the end. She had no doubt that it would be. They had won, and she had lost. The ice blue eyes showed no fear. No sweat dripped down her forehead. There was no sign of hesitants or worry. Camille was ready to die, and she knew her goddess would protect her from the pain.
Sir Jacob Lansing held his weapon tightly. The other two men seemed nervous. Would killing her bring a rath upon them or their families? Then he thought better of it. He could protect his family. He was, after all, prince warlock.
“Anything you would like to get off your chest before you die witch?” He called out to the young woman.
Camille looked around at the ruined city. Her city. Not long ago her family had ruled here. Now the brick buildings were in shambles, half gone or leaning to the side. The sky was dark from the amount of evil magic. It was only three in the after noon but the sun hadn’t shown in more then 3 weeks. In the chaos of the battle, the dust had filled the sky and the sun was hidden. It might never show itself again. The parks and grassy areas were now just burnt patches of ground. The trees had shed their leaves and turned black to welcome their new masters.
A small tear slid out of the corner of her eye. This was her land. This was her life, future, past and present. She could not run from here. She looked back at the men and didn’t speak. She fell to her knees and bowed her head, taking her death in honor. The guns were fired, and she looked up to meet them head on.
In an instant, everything slowed down. Camille saw a light, and she oked up to the sky. There, hidden amongst the clouds, she swore she saw the moon. When the light from this moon hit her, she disappeared. The force of the weapons, never hit her, she was gone before it could.
In the blink of an eye, Camille went from seeing her home land, to kneeling in the middle of a desert. She was in some sort of canyon. She looked around carefully, making sure that there were no other enemys within distance. Standing, she noticed her leg was no longer bleeding. She was healed from all of her battle scars. The magic in her veins seemed to be freed in this place. The spell the warlocks had cast on her, binding her magic for eternity, no longer held her. After clenching her fists, and flexing her arms, she turned around a few times.
Not knowing where to go, or what to do, Camille started walking towards the sunset. Yes, the sun was bright here. The canyons twisted and turned, the scenery never changed from the orange and sand colored walls around her. She was getting tiered, and she wanted to rest. Still hesitant, she slid to the ground in a little cavern in the rock and hid while sleeping. Tomorrow, she would create her own life, separate from the world she had lived in. Her kids wouldn’t live in a world of pain and hatred that she had lived in for years.

Chapter One

Catty ran down the stairs, her little sister, Shant, clung to her back yelling and screaming. Catty smiled and ran out the front door, Shant squealing in delight. Destiny, the oldest, watched them go and shook her head. They past Denise and Margo, who rolled their eyes at the immaturity. Half way to the barn, Catty let Shant down and told her to go play with their second youngest sister, Hope, out in the fields.
After watching her run off, Catty started into the barn where the horses were kept. Her father was in there, watching the 2 farm hands, clean out stalls. Catty had always tried to help out around the farm, ever scince she was little she had had chores. She took them without complaint. However, when she tried to help out around the barns, her father always told her no. It wasn’t a girls type of work. Instead, she rode her horse as often as she could.
They had several horses. There were 2 horses to every one child, even though Catty was the only one that rode. They had several mustangs that they had caught themselves and trained. All of them were different. Sassy had a temper that would send you flying, literally, if you didn’t control her right. DeDe was soft and sweet, she was best for the younger three girls. But Catty’s favorite horse was Bunker, he was the only male horse on the farm, and he was the fastest. He never stopped doing what you asked him and he could do anything. It was almost as if he had magic in his blood.
Bunker was Catty’s personal horse. Her grandmother, Camille, had given the horse to her when she was just a baby. She said that the horse would bring her places. That was before she disappeared and left the girls to live the world with their father. Their mother had run away when they were all still small and none of them remembered her. But bunker was the only thing Catty loved more in this world then magic.
