A poem from long ago... Another about renewing ourselves.
Darkened sunsets rain crimson tears,
Tears of lost dreams and forgotten hope,
Shadows lengthen, growing with fear,
Mist fades slowly into mote.

A lonesome soul looks up and wonders,
Why the heavens cry through the night,
How the shadows shine without remorse,
And darkness becomes a gloomy sight.

His ears open the door to listen,
And the wind whispers the answer,
Whistling the breaths of certain,
Tears fall, response to a prayer.

You longed to start anew again,
And hid in shadows of mistakes you made,
You suffered injuries of remorse and pain,
And failed to hear the song each day played.

Therefore, my tears wash the old away,
And my shadows smother all trails of light,
My tearful songs remind you of a day,
In that you will awaken to a new, clean sight.
