this is a true story of my brothers leave
12-21-07 at 0:800 hours I get  a call from my brother Joe. I'm half asleep and am only hearing about half of what he's saying but I got the basic idea he wanted me to drive some where and pick something up. "ok Joe I’ll take care of it night." I was ready to go back to bed "Ron why don’t you get your but up and pick me up from the air port."

I'm wide awake now. "Your home!?!" Wow this was amazing. My brother home from the military....home for Christmas. "I'll be right there." I jump out of bed, and throw my clothes on, and grab my keys, and i ran out to my car. About a half hour latter I'm at the Air port looking for my brother. above all the heads I see my brothers and I embrace him in a big hug. "Aww Joe i didn't think you were going to make it." He proceeded to tell me that it was really a last minuet thing and how his Sergeant was looking out for him. As we were picking up his bags there was a little boy about 6 or 7 and staring at my brother, I heard him ask his father "Is he a Hero daddy." His father looked up at my brother and said "Yes son That’s a Hero." The pride i had felt in that moment was so powerful I had to chock back the tears.
