Thoughts about a day in the life of an Air Force pilot.
Wingman

I am your wingman, watching your back
I will protect you while under attack
Patrolling our airspace, controlling the sky
Reassuring our people when we fly by
It may appear like a show of might
But we enjoy our freedom of flight

I am your wingman, watching your back
You daring commander of our lethal pack
Cruising along in calm level flight
We haven't spotted one intruder tonight
Finaly I hear over the radio
Wingman, let's take these birds home

I am your wingman, watching your back
Tonight we'll have an easy trip back
In a standard maneuver we veer apart
And alter our course, I check my chart
In a moment we're headed back to base
Back in formation, done with the chase

I am your wingman, watching your back
Commander, I challange, I'll race you back
Igniting our burners, we pick up speed
Still in formation, we share our speed
Back at the base we come into land
Commander, I'm honored when you shake my hand
Well done, Wingman
