A ballad about hopes of romantic love.
Fairytales, fairytales what are they really
Ficticious thoughts to get our minds working
Or stories that are just too silly

Giving us hope, hope for what's impossible
What guy have you ever seen go rescue some stray stranger
Are those scenerios really that plausable

Their lives turn out so grand, so grand!
Not gonna happen in real life
We don't live in fairytale land

Trying, trying so hard to find the perfect guy
Searching for an impossible standard
We might as well just sit down and stare at the sky
