This was written for a friend of mine in memory of her stillborn baby girl
As the little butterfly spread her wings to fly
I know you, my baby girl, are up in the sky
Take care of her Jesus, send her my love
Protect her and keep her with the angels above
Even though I miss her so
There is one simple fact I know
She’s one of your angels, this much is true
You’ll hold her close, you’ll dry her tears
You’ll do what you need to do to calm her fears
When I see the smallest butterfly, I’ll know
That it is a sign you wanted to show
To let me know she’s safe, and remind me that she’s loved
