Revelation about people. Each stanza, each line gains a syllable to represent a process.
Weathered but lasting,
Solid yet coerced,
The hearts of many
carry the same torch.
They wish upon stars,
for the same white porch.

Dreary and deserted,
The broken hearts don't mend.
They lie remembering,
losing more and more friends.
Missing all the chances
that their good life presents.

Ecstatic and uplifted,
Some happiness never leaves.
The love of a good woman,
sometimes it is all you need.
The witches and the wenches
I never let bother me.

Fortitudinous and fearless,
Brave are born into selflessness.
But, most people don't have that luck.
I'm of the latter, I confess.
Sometimes confronting yourself
can make you braver than the rest.

Egotistic and narcissistic,
'The recreants are shaped by mentors.
Actions of people they respected
make cowards think themselves as center.
Eve could have brought us all to Eden,
If only the snake did not tempt her.

Unpredictable but foreseeable,
Individualistic yet selfless,
The hearts of man differ in each person.
Find out for yourself; on this I insist.
