Scattered thoughts, most pertaining to the title.
Delusions of Grandeur

I'll shoot arrows into space
and break the thick atmosphere.
When those fiery arrows come down
I'll be a young hero here.

When I was a younger child
I conversed with my conscience.
I discovered imagination
then felt void in its absence.

A starless sky of cold black
what keeps my red heart moving?
My priceless moment stopped quickly by
clouds selfish disapproving.

Brazen and malevolent fish,
leave my thirsty blue ocean.
No need for sharks mauling our schools,
stop saltwater commotion.

All whimsical weatherman,
charlatans of your trade,
can't predict the sporadic weather,
can't keep this shallow charade.

My nation under brimstone,
the ash, dust and shiny chrome,
we'll try to keep the engine running
through self-inflicted shunning
