My friend and I were fighting. I was upset... I got my emotions out on paper.
You say you'll remember
those times forever,
but eventually Memories Fade.

You never want them to go away,
but we both know that they do.
All those giggles, and the tears,
I know they'll disappear.
And you know it's true.

The moments fade into the mist,
and they travel with the air,
around the world to places elsewhere.

Your memories of me
are the ones that left you behind.
I'm telling you this sadly,
I've been banished from your mind.

How could you have forgotten?
How could you leave me the way I was?
Bent, Depressed, and Broken?

I'm still waiting for your return,
but I'm sure you don't remember me.
What did I tell you?
What did I say?
Memories Fade...
