A poem concerning child hood sexual abuse.
Sun shining bright in my eyes, beautiful cloudless blue skies,
I wish that I could enjoy life this way, but all I can think is not another day.
Tears, oh so many tears falling down my face,
someone please help me get out of this place.
What was it about me that made him think he could say
"if you tell someone I sure hope you know how to pray."
With legs spread wide and no where to hide,
all I could think to say was "dear God, dear God not another day."
The things he did made me cry and wish to die.
I was only eight and I wanted to wait,
until that day when I had my special date.
Now all I do is pray and say, "Dear God, dear God not another day."
