This is the introducation to my Book
The Black Panthers, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X have come a long way.  Our ancestors where forced on the Amistad against their will and shipped across Eve’s Bayou.  They had to deal with Coming To America, but their Roots brought them out of the Mississippi Burnings. For so long they had been Waiting 2 Exhale, so that they could finally Get On The Bus 2 move us out of the Rosewood and put us where we are 2day.  But look at us now; we are Hoodlums living in a Sugar Hill, which is Gang Related 2 New Jack City.  Where there are Boyz N The Hood chilling at Sunset Park.  We’re so quick 2 Light It Up and drink Juice on New Jersey Drive.  We’re always trying 2 get Above The Rim 2 get the Rebound, becuz someone told us that White Men Can’t Jump, but what about the black man?  We automatically think, He’s Got Game.  It’s a Low Down Dirty Shame how everyone wants 2 be The Best Man, prove Whose The Man, or whose the King Of New York.  So on Friday we’ll Ride out 2 Crooklyn 2 Set It Off and get the Dead Presidents.  But instead of us sitting back Living Large and keeping it Strictly Business we get greedy.  We feel like we have Nothing 2 Loose so on Next Friday we’ll go and get Mo Money, cuz Money Talks and you have 2 Hav Plenty.  Instead of us chillin at Phat Beach trying 2 reach a Higher Learning at Highschool High we would rather be learning How To Be A Player.  But it’s A Thin Line Between Love And Hate and Two Can Play That Game.  We think that the White man is the Devil In A Blue Dress but really it’s ourselves.  We’ve let our Brothers get In Too Deep.  Our educated yet Dangerous Minds have turned us in2 the Enemy Of The State becuz we don’t know when it’s A Time To Kill.  All we know is I’m Gonna Get You Sucker.  But really, Why Do Fools Fall In Love but can’t learn 2 Do The Right Thing?  It’s becuz living in South Central has us Sprung or we got Jungle Fever?  We’re 2 busy chillin at House Parties trying 2 get 2 the Player’s Club that we can’t recognize a Booty Call when we hear one and we definitely can’t feel the Love Jones.  And 2 this day we still think that Jason Lyric’s is just another poem about Poetic Justice.  Stop Tripping, listening 2 Tales From The Hood trying 2 become Bad Boys when all you really are is a Class Act.  We got BAP’s hanging around Girl 6 trying 2 find out How Stella Got Her Groove Back when she should be at home being The Preacher’s Wife.  What you need 2 do is Lean On Me cuz I Got The Hook Up on some Soul Food at Big Momma’s House that will fill your Belly.  But remember, Life is like a Boomerang.  What goes around comes around!
