What an Apple Tastes Like

The taste of an Apple

Ahhh the crispness
the sweetness or
Maybe your preference
leans to the tart.

Whichever and however
we all must agree on the
juiciness
the clear sweet
liquid running down your arm.
The consumption of this temptation
can surly be an art.


Pass me some peanut butter,
some cinnamon,
some caramel...
even a touch of chocolate
would do us no harm.
So long as we've got them
If not, climb a tree
Run by the farm!

Maybe you like yours
pressed into cider,
with warm fresh donuts
from the pack of a hay rider.
Its syrupy sweetness
with tart after glow.
Served chilled to the lil ones
Whose eyes couldn't be wider.

Whether red, gold or green
Sweet, saucey or down right tart
We all can agree.
Whether you're young or
Whether you're old
however you like them
homegrown or from Walmart sold
THEY ARE OH SO GOOD!
