a believer, from Karachi
When the wars started and the blood spilled
Nobody counted how many were killed
Death and destruction were greeted warmly
Weapons destroyed the peace we build

A new story made the headlines today
Another suicide attacker, dozens more dead
Loved ones gone in the blink of an eye
And the tears of a million more shed

The media gets yet another breaking news
Another grieving incident gets covered
The citizens watch the news in shock
As yet another bomb gets discovered

Between all the horror around us
And the fear of being the next victim
Maybe there is someone who can stand up
And rekindle the fight for our freedom

We need to stand united against our enemies
Because our destiny will always be the same
Then how come our paths are so different
When we all want to see peace prevail

Just trust yourself and those around you
Believe in your faith, your religion
Believe in the prayers as your only hope
And in the power of standing as one

In this world your life gets endangered
And the wounds of horror are too severe
Could you have faith inside of yourself?
Are you strong enough to be a believer?
