Dedicated to the beauty of a lit candle.
I gaze at the silent ripples
As they softly twist the air
And in molten wax trickles
Light dances without a care.

The Little Flame dances along
To her silent joyous song.
In this way she sings her praise
To God for her golden rays.

Her dancing brings the dark to light
And helps sweet scents take first flight.
Light and Dark waltz to the psalm,
Even Glass lost his icy calm.

Flame smiled as she did her part
To warm my tired weary heart
Tirelessly she’ll dance in place
Till a smile comes on my face.

Air ripples through her twirling dress
And turns grief to happiness.
And though light must return to dark
Flame’s greatest dance needs just a spark.
