I can't avoid "painful" seeming poem's because that's how I deal with that.
How can I not put pain to paper?
I have no other release.
These subjects...I stutter,
my mind begs me.
Poem after poem,
pain after pain,
The same torment rewritten again.
So I didn't want to write
if it included that emotion
But what I soon learned
was agony's devotion.
Free to speak, but hindered,
I pick up my pen.
Some kind of internal prison
that I let you in.
Joining with the paper in my lap,
I pass by cells,
Each one being life's mishaps,
each one feeling like hell.
