The tale of boy and his unusual urban pets.
Romain, Romain, antithesis of plain,
Rides his bike to school in the rain.
He had a lion with a shaggy orange mane.
He thought it was a cat, he thought it was tame.

He took his lion for walks in the park.
He took his lion for walks after dark.
One day Romain's lion came down with a cold.
Was he really sick, or was he sad and alone?

Romain went to the vet to see what was wrong.
The vet said, "In the city's not where lions belong."
So Romain freed his lion back into the wild,
Where he gladly ran back to his lioness and child.

Now Romain's feeling blue, feeling down.
He longs for a pet that can live in his town.
What about a dog, or maybe a frog?
How about a dove? They're not hard to take care of.

After hours of concentration, and much deliberation,
Romain found a solution to his petless situation.
Finally Romain is happy once more,
As he walks his pet down the street to the store.
Romain doesn't even care his landlord doubled his rent
Because he's having the best time ever with his new elephant.
