It's supposed to be an imaginative way to describe a drum.
The Form of a Man

His face is smooth and gentle
Pale but not quite white
His eyes shine bright
And catch the brilliant light
His voice is sharp and fierce
Vibrating deep inside your soul
Booming through your veins
Disrupting your even pulse
His touch is cold yet caring
A circle of steely trust
And his heart is hidden deep
Inside his beating chest
