A poem about the nuclear power plant towers I see every day.
Piercing the sky
They belch smoke
It blankets the countryside

The people at their toes
Gape at the lights
Capping their rims

Guarding the countryside
They are the blood that fills
Its veins

In the distance I see them
Resolute, breaking the skyline
They rise up like gods

Gray and reverent
The white clouds rise
Their people are their prize.
