My interpretation of race relations ( a very short interpretation)
A country born out of an uncivilized dream
A mix of races with lines drawn in between
It's come so far, yet still is behind
In becoming equal for all mankind
The mistakes of our past play a huge role
In the racial battlefield starting to unfold
People are afraid of what they don't know
Using hatred to disguise any fear that may show
Smiling in your face when they really want to say
"How did a nigger get where you are today?"
Or pretending to be cool when they really are fake
Still blaming the white man for all their mistakes
People are not as united as they seem
Yet still claim to believe in the American dream
