Describes the evening following a summer's day.
After hot and sunny days
After hard work and fun
Come the slanting rays
Of the setting sun
As birds and beast
Come out to play
And the sun dips below the world
as the moon and clouds
start their game of hide-and-seek
After all the little ones
Are tucked away
For dreams to come abroad
The nightingale sings her song
And the owl hoots his song
Do we ever think that heaven
Is so much more beautiful
Than a summer day
