About list members who rub in the wrong way, almost compulsively.
E-MAIL RUBBERS AND PRANKSTERS

While authors write and posters post,
Rubbers rub in insult.
Authors hold poise, posters make noise,
Rubbers simply exult.

Adults discuss, children make fuss,
But pranksters cause pin-pricks.
Adults mean sense, children nonsense,
Pranksters throw only bricks.

In like manner, under banner
Of what are e-mail lists,
Thrive all of them, children and men,
But, pranksters, one desists.

It’s best to move not in a groove,
Nor also in circles.
But beware of one who, rashly,
Along the road hurtles.

One who e-mails always entails
Risk of coming across
A mailer who’s knowledgeable
But who wears evil floss.

Coming across him, what to do?
Should one argue with him?
Better ignore him totally;
One can’t pander to whim.
