This is just a story about a girl who is raped and has to heal from it.
It all started when she was just thirteen. They were watching a movie at Austin’s house, making out, when he raped her. She tried to fight, but it made it worse for her. When he was done, she ran from the house screaming, “He raped me. Austin raped me.”
Just then Austin’s mother had just pulled in and started yelling at her to be quiet so the neighbors wouldn’t hear. She didn’t believe Katie. Her son would never force himself on anyone.
Katie, calm down. He only gave you what you wanted.
I didn’t ask to be raped!
He didn’t rape you.
I told him no, but he wouldn’t stop. He just kept going.
Oh just hush.
Why won’t you believe me?
My son would never do such a thing.
He did. He did. Take me home. I want to leave now. I want to go home.
Quit yelling or my neighbors will hear.
I don’t care. Maybe I should just yell louder and then they’ll know what Austin did to me. They’ll know who he is.
They won’t believe you.
That was it for Katie. She just stared walking away. She couldn’t believe it. Why would he do that to her. She wasn’t being irrational. Was she? She wasn’t sure, but she didn’t think so. She just knew she had to get away from there.
It took her forty-five minutes to get home. She ran the whole way, she needed to tell someone who would believe her. Nobody was home. She went and grabbed some Advil, instead she ju7sty stood there with the bottle and contemplated suicide.
Her little sister came running in. Oh what it would be like to be four again. You thought boys had cooties and took naps in the middle of the day. You didn’t have to deal with being raped by the boy you liked. She must’ve looked as if she were about to break down because her little sister stopped running to give her a kiss and to say its alright.
Katie put the Advil back and west to find her mom to tell her. Her mother started flipping out. They all got in the car and headed to the police station to file a report on it. The detectives told her she needed to do a rape kit and that she should press charges. She said no to both. She still loved him
