God has painted the perfect master piece
God is a master artist. He is constantly painting a masterpiece. (Thats us, trust me however much you think your not, god wants you to be a masterpiece) You see people can only see the individual brush strokes. We see them and they don't make sense. They seem strange and erratic. Even cruel. We freak out. We try to grab the brush from gods hands and we want to paint our own picture. The problem is we can only see one stroke at a time.

So we paint. Crazy and wildly, our sweat and blood and tears mix in with endless colors of paint and we are left with a beautiful mess. We fall to our knees and stare at it. We don't understand why it didn't turn out the way we wanted. We cry, and we grieve for lost beauty and inperfection. Then god takes our hand. He holds us steady and retraces our lines. He breathes new life into the painting and he holds us steady. And the masterpiece is reborn, scarred mabye, marred with streaks of blood, but a masterpiece all the same. And years later we may realize what went wrong in the first place. It wasn't our painting. It wasn't our plan. It was his.

We took the brush from gods hands because we feared his controll, we feared his perfection. We thought we saw mistakes, but what we saw was a painting so complex and so deep that it could never have been understood looking at single brush stokes. I don't know its a shot in the dark but still. Put down the brush. God won't let you fall. And if you can't let go, because most people can't (I can't) Let him guide you anyway. Learn to be still. Learn to be quiet and listen. Try not to fight it. And realize that he loves you no matter what. And know that no matter how much life has messed up your painting, he wants to fix it. He CAN fix it. Be paitient. Be still. He loves you more than you could ever know
