just plain fun .
"I want to be different" he said to me once.
"Not one of the regular crowd.
I want to do what I say I do
I want what isn't allowed.

"Society says to cut of my hair~
To listen to pop and not Dead
Society says that I need religion
If I'm to be right in the head.

"So I won't cut my hair and I'll wear tye-dyed shirts
And I'll listen to Phish and Garcia
I'll wear sandals in winter and eat no red meat
I'll show them and soon they will see what

"It's like to be different, what it's like to be me
I'm original~ won't do what they say
I know I'll stand out from the regular crowd.
I want my life to be my way."

And he said this to me with a fire in his eye
One I had seen before.
In order to be a non-conformist'
He really was conforming more.
